Train to Become a Yoga Teacher


The BWYQ offers two qualifications in teaching yoga and two specialist qualifications in teaching yoga to older adults :
  • BWYQ Level 4 Certificate in Teaching Yoga (RQF) which consists of 5 units and is usually completed in 12-18 months, depending on how the provider structures the course. See PDF qualification specification.
  • BWYQ Level 4 Diploma in Teaching Yoga (RQF) which consists of 7 units and is usually completed in 18 months to three years. See PDF qualification specification
  • BWYQ Level 4 Certificate in Teaching Gentle Years Yoga which consists of 2 units and is usually completed in 12 to 18 months. See PDF qualification specification
  • BWYQ Level 4 Award in Understanding the Principles of Adapting Yoga for Older adults which consists of 1 unit and is usually completed within 3 to 6 months. See PDF qualification specification
Students are expected to have an understanding of anatomy and physiology at Level 3 for these qualifications.
